TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, CT

formerly known as the Greater Hartford Open back in the day!

This was the first golf tournament Mr. Sports Travel attended.

Above, buttons from his attendance with his late father at the 1988 and 1990 events when he was still in high school. No photo of Mr. Sports Travel at this event. Back then, especially, cameras and golf were not a match! To say nothing about an insecure teenager!

American Mark Brooks won the '88 tournament in a playoff, which was his first PGA win. The winning share? $126,000, which is peanuts compared to today! In the '90 event, Wayne Levi took home the crown.

Below, Mr. Sports Travel scrap book from '89 event won by Paul Azinger.
