Mr. Sports Travel: Frequently Asked Questions
Among the most common questions The Everywhere Man has received over the years!
“How in the hell have you been to all these places?”
#1 Started really young (early 1990s!) – and now old(er)! Learn more about his sports travel history.
#2 Never married!
#3 No kids!
#4 Self-employed, so more freedom to travel than most.
#5 Done well and invested smartly.
“What's up with the green color fascination?”
While it’s well-established Mr. Sports Travel loves the red, white, and blue, the green is in honor of his late father, of whom the site is dedicated. Because without his father (and mother), naturally there would be no Mr. Sports Travel! His father’s favorite team was the Hartford Whalers, so the green is in honor of the team he grew up watching with his Dad. Learn more on the About the Dedication page.
“I’m planning a trip and I know you can help me. But what should I buy – a phone or video consult with you or one of your guides?”
The phone or video call option is best for those that can't (or don't) wish to devote over 30 or 60 minutes planning their trip; are departing soon; and/or aren't interested in reading a guide book of any sort!
An online guide is best for "deep divers" that aren't leaving on their trip soon; like to read; and/or don't desire a phone or video call.

Madison, WI, home of the Wisconsin Badgers. Great vibe for football, hoops, hockey, volleyball, and more - if the Badgers played baseball, they'd probably sellout. And they major in partying up here too!
What sports did you play as a kid?
Played ice hockey year round. Varsity lettered in cross country (fall); ice hockey (winter); and track and field (spring): 100m, 400m, 4X400m, and long jump. Played legion baseball in summer.
Are you a Veteran?
No. His late father, who was his inspiration and got him into sports, served in the U.S. Air Force. When he's not traveling, Mr. Sports Travel is a Career Coach and Resume Writer who has helped many service members over the years transition from military service to securing employment in the government or the private sector.
Whatever happened to the Veggie Mobile?
After putting eight jillion miles on the French Fry mobile, its cylinders began to conk, so The Green Machine was sold and purchased – a smelly miracle in and of itself that someone wanted to buy it!
What happened to your first American flag car. I heard there was an accident?
A jackass driver failed to yield at a green light to Mr. Sports Travel’s first USA baby at a major Springfield, Missouri intersection, totaling American Flag Mobile I – but obviously not The Everywhere Man! Drove a rental car before buying and "wrapping" American Flag Mobile II while on the road in 2019.
Is your American flag car paint – or it is a wrap?
Wrap.
“I’ve been buying your guides for years. Big fan. But if/when are you going to finally write a book?”
When stop traveling – which will probably happen when, as Warren Zevon sang “I’ll sleep when I’m dead.” But you can buy an online travel planning guide or speak to Mr. Sports Travel – yes, really! – via phone or video to get your sports travel questions answered. Way more relevant information than any printed and outdated guide book! Only The Everywhere Man Mr. Sports Travel knows the hidden gems of each venue! Just ask buyers of his guides.
